Challenging internship at Walt Disney Benelux with the Accounting Department in Amsterdam area!

During your internship you will be part of the Shared Accounting Services department based in Hoofddorp.
Our department provides the accounting and reporting services for all Lines of Business (Motion Pictures, Home Entertainment, Disney Channels and Consumer Products) in the Benelux region and consists of seven people. You'll support the department in their daily operations.

During your internship you will encounter all sorts of challenging tasks and responsibilities:

1. Assisting the accountants in their month/ quarter close procedures including:
a. Preparing journal entry uploads in Excel and SAP;
b. Support in preparing monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliations;
c. Pulling data from Excel and SAP for monthly and quarterly management reporting to company headquarters in Burbank;
d. Run reports from Business Warehouse for Balance Sheet reviews.

2. Ad hoc projects including:
a. Assistance with the Efficiency Projects;
b. Preparing information as requested by the auditors for statutory audits;
c. Entry of the department's purchase orders.

Functie eisen

Education and personal skills

Education: (Near) final stage of higher study (university or HBO) in accounting, business economics or related
Availability: 4-6 months, 4-5 days a week
Experience: No need
Language: Fluency in English is a must, Dutch is preferred
Computer: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Attributes: Team player, Assertive and motivated, Positive attitude, easy to work with in an informal work environment, Not afraid of challenges.
