About the Company

UPC Broadband (UPC) is a Pan-European provider of television, broadband internet and telephone services. These services are provided in 10 European countries to approximately 10 million customers. UPC is the European cable division of Liberty Global, Inc., the leading international cable operator offering services to connect its customers to the world of entertainment, communications and information.

Assignment

 The project will include the following two key elements.

 Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) recovery and retrieval reporting

- Review and summarize current recovery levels and retrieval approach by affiliate.
- Develop detailed description of process, system and administration methodology applied in each affiliate; overall objective is to make clear the respective differences and define steps in order to standardize and align reporting practices across the group.
- As a sub-set of the above investigate and quantify stranded assets status, with the aim of understanding potential investment required to optimize recovery rates based on current situation.
- Mapping and definition of Cost of ownership model
- Define a cost of ownership template which can be applied to the current UPC portfolio in order to better understand “real costs” vs. purchase price.
- Key deliverables being the template and a simple side by side comparison matrix of UPC CPE’s by affiliate.

Candidate profile

• Experience or education in supply chain management area (preferable)
• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills
• Proven project management skills in cross-functional and multi-cultural teams
• Ability to work independently with little guidance
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
